Missing the Kickass Ladies of Game of Thrones? Here Are 5 Handmade Products Fit For a Khaleesi

by Mary Rockcastle

Did you sit and stare blankly at a wall of your room yesterday, wondering what regular people do with their lives without Game of Thrones on Sunday nights? Yeah, me too. That’s why I ordered this bad boy, among other reasons (no spoilers), on Etsy last week to sport in honor of my favorite lady of Westeros, Ygritte.

After I got TONS of great feedback, I decided to put together a list of other great handmade Game of Thrones merch made by women, for women.

1. His and Hers Dothraki Khal/Khaleesi Necklaces

Tell me these necklaces don’t totally pull at your heartstrings, and make you want to both cuddle up with a loved one and curl up in a ball and cry. If my future imaginary partner won’t wear the Sun and Stars to my Moon, they can hit the road.

2. House Stark Temporary Tattoo

Miss your fallen Starks? Me too buddy, me too. Wanna be the baddest bitch in Winterfell? Yes please. This temporary tattoo fits on one’s chest/back and features the house sigil, arrows, quills, swords and battle elements.

3. “Crows Before Hoes” Cross Stitch Pattern

If your preferred venn diagram of things you like includes circles titled “Game of Thrones” and “Cross Stitching” then I’ve got the thing for you. This digital pattern allows you to create an awesome and nerdy piece of art for your own personal Castle Black.

4. Ygritte Wildlings Quote Wall Art Print

Ygritte is my main bad bitch. That’s why if there were more than 20 dollars in my bank account right now, this baby would be up on display in my apartment. Be a better person than me, spend your money on art, not burritos.

5. Sansa Stark Purple Wedding Necklace

Sansa Stark is, in my humble opinion, the most underrated and underestimated character on the show. If you want to wear a badass poisoned necklace like my girl Sansa, this is probably the closest you’re going to get.

If you guys make or know of any other women who make nerdy crafts let us know! We love ladies who craft, especially nerdy ones.
