Prepare for takeoff, earthlings. Dream-pop duo Beach House has teamed up again with director Allen Cordell on their latest music video for the meditative “Lazuli” off of their incredible recent album, Bloom. The video follows three lonely-types whose lives conjoin in another dimension by way of unusual circumstances. Via exploding eggs, interactive invisible walls, and dark smoke clouds, we’re transported into a cosmic dreamland that perfectly matches the band’s atmospheric sound. The video juxtaposes both the future and the past, combining stunning visionary concepts with wonderfully dated ‘80s graphics, reminiscent of the old-school video game Space Invaders. Featuring the likes of a galactic Victoria Legrand, giant geometric shapes, and spectral orbs, Beach House’s striking new music video is, in a phrase, “out of this world.” Sorry, I had to. Check it out, below!
