Artist Katrina Balling started Ball and Chain Jewelry after she designed her own jewelry for her wedding in 2006. Her clever kitschy sterling silhouettes and crocheted chain jewelry are inspired by flea market finds and other unexpected sources.
The wood grain ring collection is a collaboration with her husband John Jacobsmeyer, who is also an artist, painter, and print maker — he lends his engraving skills to the wood grain patterns.
Stop by Ball and Chain Jewelry at the BUST Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair Holiday 2011 this weekend, December 10th and 11th, at 82 Mercer St. in NYC! Katrina is offering special Craftacular discounts — silver silhouettes will be $45 marked down from $60 and wood grain rings will be on sale for $75, normally $90.
