Bingo isn’t just for nursing homes and Moose lodges anymore. Paul Buller of Philadelphia has brought this senior center favorite into the real world with Hipster Bingo.
In this incarnation of the game, letters and numbers have been replaced with classic hipster images such as iPhones, beards and Pabst Blue Ribbon cans to be marked off as you see them on the street. Buller suggest using found items as game pieces, writing, “If hipsters are nearby this means you will be able to find plenty of pennies, guitar picks, cigarette butts, mustache combs…” You get the idea.
Buy a pack of Hipster Bingo cards for your friends and bring them to the next trendy warehouse party you get invited to. I’m sure someone will call “BINGO” within minutes of walking in the door.
Right now, Buller has several versions of the Hipster Bingo cards available, as well as combo packs for even more variety. The cards are available on the Hipster Bingo Etsy shop and at the BUST Craftacular & Food Fair this Saturday and Sunday at 82 Mercer Street in SoHo! Doors are open from 11 AM to 7 PM, so don’t miss this opportunity to get your Bingo on!
