Frontwoman, bassist, producer, painter, music video director, designer, mom, and certified badass are pretty sweet gigs to have in your repertoire. Now, Sonic Youth founding member Kim Gordon dishes on her latest project, a 12-piece collection she collaborated on with Dorothée Loermann of clothing label Surface To Air. We’re especially feeling the orange wrap dress and snakeskin boots–anybody want to lend us a-few-to-several-hundred dollars?
In an interview for the Surface To Air blog, Gordon discusses her passion for painting, raising her daughters, what possession she can’t part with, and why she thinks Sonic Youth made such an impact on a generation.
