Shop handmade this holiday season at the 7th annual BUST Magazine Craftacular and Food Fair Holiday 2011, where more than 200 craft and specialty food vendors each day will be selling unique, one-of-a-kind gifts! Our first-ever two day holiday shopping extravaganza will take place on Saturday, December 10th (11 AM – 8 PM) and Sunday, December 11th (11 AM – 7 PM) at 82 Mercer St. in SoHo, NYC.
In addition to shopping, handcraft your own gifts at The BUST DIY Guide to Life Lab. Debbie Stoller and Laurie Henzel — BUST Magazine co-publishers and co-authors of The BUST DIY Guide to Life book — will be leading classes and signing copies of the book; learn how to make your own tiny terrariums, snow globes, and more, all for free or a nominal fee. Stop by on Saturday, December 10th to meet special guest Jay McCarroll, winner of Project Runway season one and contestant on Celebrity Fit Club. Jay will selling items from his current line like handcrafted and affordable bags and scarves.
Hungry? Our Craftacular food vendors will be serving all kinds of tasty treats, from meatball sliders and gourmet dips to chocolate confections and coffee. Don’t forget to stop by our craft beer garden!
The Red Hook Lobster Pound and Coolhaus food trucks will be parked outside with lobster rolls, lobster mac and cheese, hot cocoa, and ice cream sandwiches (special holiday flavors include Chocolate Peppermint Stick, Spiced Egg Nog, and Gingerbread). Show your Craftacular hand stamp to the Coolhaus truck and get $1 off two ice cream sammies or two hot cocoas.
Shop and nosh to groovy tunes from DJ Shirley Braha of MTV Hive’s “Weird Vibes,” Suzy Chase of thegrooveradio.com, DCD Collective, and DJ Kristina of Twee Valley High. Enter our free raffle prize to win goodies like products from Craftacular vendors and the “Fiskars Winter Wonderland Crafting Basket” (retail value of $200) with holiday crafting supplies like multiple punches, stick stamps, and a trimmer.
Arrive early — the first 300 shoppers each day will receive a free goodie bag packed with swag!
