The Feminist Review has been providing reviews for three and a half years on books, music, films, and more, all through a smart and savvy feminist lens. This year, they’re yet another independent publication feeling the burn of the recession era. To combat loss of advertising, they’ve launched an aggressive campaign this month to meet their fundraising goals for the year, with Women’s History Month as their theme. They make their case from their website:
“As an all-volunteer publication with multi-generational writers and editors located across the globe, Feminist Review represents the face of the contemporary women’s rights movement while fostering critical thinking and increased understanding of the many (sometimes conflicting) feminist perspectives in the world today. As an independent website, we rely on reader contributions to continue bringing our unique content to you, and this fundraising campaign is our first major request.”
They’re accepting donations until the end of the month, so go here to donate and show your love for the Feminist Review!
